Critter

Critter is a workspace automation platform for pet-professionals like groomers, vets, dog walkers, pet stores, and more.

Project background

The founders of Critter approached us with a challenge: they were shifting their product focus from an organizational tool for pet owners to a workspace platform for pet professionals. Their previous website had catered to a different audience, and they recognized that their current brand did not adequately convey the trustworthiness they wanted to establish with their new target group. However, the founders were unsure how to update their website and brand identity. At Hasa Casa, we thrive on solving such challenges. We offered our strategic branding expertise and recommended best practices for their transition. Since the launch of their redesigned brand and website, Critter has successfully doubled its customer base and completed two rounds of investment.

Visual identity

Word-mark and icon-mark

The original logo combined both the icon and word components into a single design, which unfortunately did not work well together. The founders wished to keep the original icon with some subtle updates; however, we convinced them to separate the word-mark and make it the primary logo. As a result, the logo transitioned from a standard, untreated sans-serif geometric typeface to a friendly yet trustworthy custom serif word-mark.

Illustration

We created a quirky hand-drawn style that is professional but not overly serious, reflecting a brand that supports pet businesses.

Website design

We are very proud of our pet-inspired version of George Seurat’s painting “Sunday in the Park,” which serves as the main image for the Critter website and brand. For the launch, we created a user-friendly WordPress environment that allows the founders to easily develop pages and make changes on the go.
