Genera

Genera automates customer discovery and complex deployment configuration, helping companies clear bottlenecks and get customers live — generating revenue, faster.

Project background

We were thrilled to get our hands on a small startup with big-things energy. Genera came to us with nothing but a name — no visual identity, no website, just three syllables. Turns out “genera” is the plural of “genus,” the taxonomic rank used to classify living (and fossil) organisms — which handed us a genuinely fun brief: build the entire brand around taxonomy. So we did. Logo, color, the textured line pattern illustrations — all of it traces back to that one word.

Visual identity

Taxonomy gave us more than a theme — it gave us a structure. Every piece of the visual identity, from the branching icon-mark to the line-pattern illustrations, borrows straight from the way scientists classify a living thing: precise, layered, built to hold a lot of information without ever feeling cluttered.

Chosen direction

The logo does double duty — it reads as taxonomy branches, but also as the branching workflow you’d see in an actual product deployment.

Website design

The website pulls its lines straight from taxonomy illustrations, and every component is built inside the golden ratio — structure, even in the smallest details.
